Hello,
when I come back to Minecraft after going out of it for a while (without saving, just going out of game.. I just click the shutdown button on my iPad or I click the big round button) instead of showing me the pause screen game crashes.
Can you please fix it? It is very annoying.
Have a great day,
Aleksander

Can replicate. Up to date on iOS and mindcract. Very annoying, wasting so much time letting the game crash and reopening it constantly
Have noticed this since 1.12. Consistent whenever game is suspended. Currently on a multiplayer world local to my device. iOS 12.4, iPad Pro 9.7 inch 80 or 128 GB available, no other apps running.

On iPad Pro I can confirm this at 100% repro probability. This is a regression from 1.10.x.
Steps to reproduce:
Launch the game.
Lock your device, or alternatively just move the app to the background.
Unlock your device, or move the app back to foreground.
It either crashes or freezes.
