When a villager is struck with lighting, the villagers refuse to breed to make up for the lost villager. This seems to occur because different types of deaths doesn't make the villager disown the workstation or the bed, so a village can become extinct with resources everywhere.

Cleaning up old tickets: This ticket had been set to 'Awaiting Response', but has not received a response from the reporter (~3 months+) so is being closed as Incomplete. If you feel this is still a valid issue then please comment, or create a new ticket following the Issue Guidelines which includes steps to reproduce the problem.

In the current version (1.14.60) there is a timer that drops villagers from the village record if they have not been located in 20 minutes. If you want to drop the villager sooner, you can break its bed. Can you confirm whether conversion to witches continues to block new breeding if you wait 20 minutes and/or break and replace the bed?
