Pretty much I have a huge survival world and I had just built a aquarium and had lots of fish in and 20 mind later All my animals in my world had despawned besides my cats, dogs, and Parrots.

Were you interacting with the animals that despawned? Mobs will despawn after a certain amount of time if they are not interacted with, see here for more.
