Structure Block Save to Disk does not create a structure file

When I use a structure block to save a structure, even with the redstone save mode set on disk, no mcstructure file appears in the world folder. I'm using Galaxy S6 Edge.

Can confirm as of official 1.13 release

Version 1.14.30 here, and the problem still hasn't been fixed.

Not even exporting to local and then loading the file from the resource pack will work as the structure block can't see it.

I'd make a snarky comment about things not getting patched and/or fixed but considering it's been over 8 months since this issue was created you might have better luck switching to the Java edition...

Vesion 1.16.59 beta, and still not fixed

Issue still exists as of 1.14.60 on iOS.

If I save or disk the structure will load in that world, but cannot be found to load into another world!

It's the official 1.16 update. I tried three other platforms (Windows 10, iOS 13.3.5, and Nintendo Switch 10.0.4) and it did not work.

Thank you for your report!
However, this issue has been closed as Working as Intended.

Remember not all differences between game versions/platforms of Minecraft are bugs. Structure blocks in Bedrock have been implemented slightly differently, and the different save choices work as follows:

Currently in Bedrock, the Save to Disk option doesn't save the structure as a loose file like in Java. Instead it saves it on disk as part of leveldb (world data). It is different from save in memory though. With Save in Memory, the structure data is only available during that game session. If you choose save to disk instead, the structure data persists on disk and so will still be present on future gameplay sessions.

This functionality in Bedrock should change to be used in other worlds.

The functionality expected by this report is available with the β€œexport” button in Windows 10, and Android also as of a recent update (either 1.16.210 or 1.16.220).

Only for some reason it still doesn't work on Android and there is a separate report of that bug
