I've tried searching through the forums but I'm not sure if this is a duplicate or not. Also, I thought I submitted this but then couldn't find it - my apologies if it's a dupe.
My son plays Minecraft on his iPad. Sometimes he logs in and other times he just plays locally on his iPad. He wanted to add his cousin as his friend so I logged him into his xbox live account.
Now, we can't even access Minecraft. We see the MOJANG logo and then starts to load Minecraft logo and shuts off. Over and over again. He is completely upset and we are looking for some assistance on how to get the app to work again.
If I delete the app and reload, will we then lose all his local worlds? Is there a way to back those up? After all his time and effort creating things, are they gone after all we wanted to do was log into his xbox account? Please help us out.

My son really wanted to play Minecraft, so we decided to delete the app and reinstall. We are now able to login on the xbox live account on his iPad Pro, however he lost all his worlds that he has been working on all summer. Frustrating and sad.
