Can't reparing iron weapon with iron to anvil

I am repairing using anvil with iron, but doesn't work. The anvil can't repairing item. Java edition is working. Barrel cant repair with iron, but must 2 pickaxe with level to perairing replace to one. Affects: Shovel, Axe, Sword, and Pickaxe
