so I play minecraft on the nintendo switch and a while back I started getting this bug around the first time i got the game, i get this black screen for about 10 minutes then the game loads to the main page. But now ive started getting “this software was closed because an error has occurred” then just closes the game. The only times ive been able to get in minecraft was if i turned airplane mode on but now that 1.13 has come out this is not working anymore. I've tried installing and checking for corrupt data but nothing changes.

The same thing happened to me with this update... When I begin the game, I get greeted with a blank screen and eventual crash aswell. My only workaround unfortunately is to play on a different account. Hopefully this issue gets resolved.
