Since the last update, Minecraft crashes on startup. It sometimes gives the error "Global resources reset, a crash was detected". Other times it can't even get that far. Have tried clearing cache and restarting, but nothing works. Lots of other people are reporting the same problem in online forums (see link below). It won't run on my son's iPad either. Worked fine prior to the update.

Please note: I redacted the link you included in your description because I'm concerned about that web site. It invites players on Android and iOS to come there to "check the Minecraft PE server status and find out if the game is down or not working in your area". There is no such thing as a Minecraft PE server. There are Xbox Live, Realms and Marketplace servers, but they're not limited to mobile devices or specific areas and you can play locally without them. So the site seems like it may be misleading people about what it's purpose is.
