A few years back i got the map achievement on console edition PS4 and turns out that you don't actually have to fill each pixel of the map to complete it. It's like looking for 95%+ completion or something around that.
I think the bedrock achievement is busted all-round.

It has been a half a year now since this ticket was posted by Xavier and we haven't had an update for it yet. I can understand there are more important things like game crashing bugs and exploits. I guess there is reassurance that Mojang Studios has seen it due to the duplicates of this same problem. I wish I could do a shadow of the support team to see what they prioritize as a game studio.

Still an active bug, first reported November 2019 looking at the comments. Completely stops the Map room achievement from unlocking due to every map having the bottom right pixel not load in. I havent found any workarounds online for this either. This is a fresh install of the game, not played before on Xbox at all.

still broken as of 10/5/20, ver 1.16.40. very frustrating when trying to make map art/ map walls. this bug report is almost a year old now and is still stopping me from getting the map room achievement. have they even tried to fix this?

It's been a year and this glitch is still not resloved. I think the bedrock team is deeming this a pointless glitch cause it only effects one system. But its still really annoying. I cant get the map room achievement
