Pets entering Nether Portal crashes game/despawns pets

Ever since the latest update, if I bring an animal through to a Nether Portal, the game instantly crashes. And on top of that, when I join back the animals are gone forever. The only way to prevent losing them is to make a copy of the world before I do. But doing that every time I want to do so is tedious. Please look into it, thanks.

My issue is the same thing with the pets but without the crashing where they despawn entirely with no trace of finding how to get them back. As soon as i shove them through the portal they are gone entirely

Same issue occurring for me as well but it doesn't seem to occur every time. The realm resets to a previous time about 15-20 mins back it seems and at that moment, I am able to bring some pets through. I then was able to bring another one through as well. After about 10 mins after the realm has been up, I try again and this is when the crash occurs and resets to backup.

So whatever testing gets done with this has to do it not only right when load a world, but after different periods of time since it was up/last backup.

Note that horses don't seem to be affected by this. I have no issue sending them through. Dogs and cats are main ones tried so far with the same results but hit or miss if occurs.

We had this problem with parrots in 1.14.1
