Right Thumbstick not Responsive

When you play Minecraft on the Gear VR you can't look around with the right thumbstick. I have tried to change all the VR settings but nothing works. You have to physically move left or right to move around. I am using a Xbox One S controller.

I'm having this exact same issue. 1.12.x versions work, 1.13 and 1.14 the right stick is unresponsive.

I'm also having the exact same issue.
Right stick on gamepad (turning) does not work anymore.
MC:VR is now virtually unplayable 😞

I have the same issue on Minecraft for Gear VR version 1.14, right joystick does not work (both in game and menu's).
I'm using a 8bitdo sn30 pro+, which was working on version 1.12.
I tried both Xinput mode and DirectInput mode.

Reverting back to version 1.12 is not an option, since realms are not compatible with earlier versions.

For those who are sideloading the GearVR version on their Quest, there is a fix for this: just take out the batteries from both your quest controllers. More info about this and about the other issues introduced by 1.13: https://www.reddit.com/r/GearVR/comments/drwc96/is_minecraft_113_broken_on_the_gearvr/

Still broken on version downloaded 1st April 2020: "Minecraft VR 1.14.30.2" with gamesir T1s controller.

I'm having same issue on Nintendo Switch.  Right thumbstick will not look left or right.  I redownloaded the game and reset controller settings and still not working.  Basically on playable.  Is there a update for this?

The bug is still present in the latest version (1.16.10) but there is a solution. You have to remove the battery from the motion controller. For some reason, the motion controller is overriding one of the thumbsticks on the bluetooth controller.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. connect a bluetooth controller to Gear VR
2. open Minecraft Gear VR
3. open a new world
4. try to turn around using the right thumbstick on the bluetooth controller

Observed Results:
you can't turn using the thumbstick, you have to physically turn around

Expected Results:
before 1.14, you could turn in the game with the thumbstick on the bluetooth controller
