There were no pillager towers and we never once saw a pillager in our world due to there being a handful of villages but now they just spawn close to us after a specific time has passed. So please make it like how it was on the original console edition like 4J studios had it.

this isn't a bug it's how pillagers work. The legacy console edition you previously played had different spawn rules. Since then pillagers have undergone massive spawning changes, the biggest being in 1.13 when they started spawning more commonly. They don't need to be near a pillager outpost either these are just patrols. Villagers also don't stop them spawning.

Rayth, this is a bug due to it not following console editions rules. Video games have to be consistent and follow the rules they set for themselves. Would you enjoy your classic games like super mario 64 just randomly spawning goombas instead of them having their same rules as before?

This happens in my world all the time. Usually, they spawn somewhere underground, so I won't be able to even kill them.
