Game takes abnormally long to load on nintendo switch

When launching the game it will hang for about 1 minute while displaying a black screen after which the normal loading screen will appear normally, this appears to lag the switch as pressing the home button makes the home menu appear after 3-20 seconds, closing the game while in this state will crash the game. On my android tablet the games loading screen will appear after about 1 second so this is very very strange.

Good thing that I'm not the only one seeing this issue happening.

Yeah dude, I'm experiencing the same problem, thought it only happened to me once 1.14.1 came out so I don't know. Hopefully they fix it sooner than later. πŸ˜ƒ

I did some digging and i have found out what causes the issue, It appears to be inflated save data. When creating a new profile then running minecraft the mojang logo will appear really fast, Going into save settings the save data size for the new profile will be around 500mb even though that new profile has only played for a couple seconds. On my main profile i deleted some of my uneeded worlds which was about 10mb of worlds then went into settings and my main profile save data for minecraft was totally unchanged from its original size.

I deleted a world that was about 300 mb in size and it didn't change anything.

Um? How is my report a duplicate of a report that was made after mine? Wouldn't that one be a duplicate of this report?

GoldenHelmet

Yes, technically the later report is a duplicate of yours, but sometimes the moderators don’t catch every report that deals with the same issue right away. If a later report gets confirmed and referred to the developers first, it will be made the parent that other reports get linked too, and then we’ll specifically search for duplicates in order to get a better picture of the extent of the problem. Thank you for taking the time to make your report and investigate the cause.
