I've noticed on several occasions that after staying in or near a village for an extended period of time the villagers despawn entirely, making it impossible to achieve the 1000 emeralds achievement.Â

I've had it happen to a village that I found, looted and then left to keep exploring. But when I returned they were all gone

either they were killed or they walked over chunk borders and disappeared. Its a big issue on bedrock edition.

Well it's good to know I'm not the only one having this issue.

This is for PS4 though.

Can't Mojang just use the base code for the latest version of Minecraft for Java, it runs exponentially better than as you called "bugrock"

I've had villagers that I've locked in their homes (dirt barrier 2-blocks high directly in from of door) to ensure their saftey as I build barriers despawn.Â
Was your village protected by a wall or moat? If not it is likely that your presence attracted mobs that killed your villagers over time.Â
