The frame rate in minecraft has dropped considerably within the last few months. I have tried turning off all things that could be causing it and removed junk storage from the game and my ipad but it doesnt help. It lags bad enough that i cant really play the game now because it affects it so much.

Is the device really old? The battery might degrade, which leads to some performance issues. I have a refurbished iPad Air (bought in 2016) and fps is terrible, even with all the settings tuned down.
