When attempting to make a copy of a signed book by placing the signed book and a book and quill into a crafting bench, you only get a single signed book back.
What I expected to happen was...:
When creating a copy of a signed book the result should be 2 (or more) books (the original and x number of copies).
What actually happened was...:
You get the original back but no copies are returned.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Give yourself 2 (or more) book and quill
2. Write in and sign 1 book
3. Place signed book and book and quill(s) into crafting bench
4. Craft and notice only 1 book is returned.

Hi, I discovered this issue recently and me and my friends are very disappointed. We developed a newspaper for our community server but are unable to copy it. The world is 5 years old and from xbox 360 now on xbox one, so maybe that could be a reason? I know this is not a game-breaking bug but it would be great to see fixed.
Also, after trying to copy the book anything you craft afterwards gets automatically thrown out of your inventory onto the floor, instead of automatically ending up in your inventory. I also had my friends try and they also experienced this.
I just tested this on the PlayStation4 Bedrock version, in Survival mode. Placing a written/signed book next to a book&quill in the crafting interface resulted in receiving the original book back and no copy. The book/quill I placed in the crafting interface was lost.
This is the process that's broken, shown previously working (in a youtube video).
This bug is fixed in the latest beta version, and the fix will be included in a future update when that is ready for full release (no specific date can be given). We will leave this ticket open as a point of reference until the fix has been fully released.
Had this issue for a few months as well.
