Nether Portal Bug Apparently "Fixed" Still Issue (Nether Portals DON'T LINK PROPERLY!)

I have 2 Nether portals approximately 10 blocks apart in Nether (should be spawning new portal 100 blocks away) and it links up with my overworld portal every time. Have broken and moved portals many times. Solution?

Hi Max,

This is working as expected (at least as far as I understand), please see below excerpt from the wiki (while not an official source it explains how portals behave in both Java and Bedrock):

Wiki Excerpt

Overworld portals that are within 1024 distance of each other on both X and Z axis are almost always going to link to the same Nether realm portal on initial construction because 1024 translates to a distance of 128 in the Nether Realm, and the game checks for existing portals within 128 "radius" around the destination (the 257×257×128 box).

If your portals are 10 blocks apart its expected they will interconnect as you're experiencing. You can try to manually link the 2 portal sets but I've never tried this that close.

If you think I've misunderstood please supplement your report with some more information. Your video won't load for me so you may need to upload again (or to a different place such as YouTube).

Edit: Sorry for the changes, was epic failing at formatting....

If the information provided above did not help, please provide the exact coordinates of all of the portals so if it is a bug it can be reproduced.
