No portal in nether at location taken to

Summarization of attached video:
1. Enter existing Nether portal at -40, 84, 328
2. Arrive overworld at -324, 30, 2626
3. Return to Nether and arrive at -41, 34, 313 and there is no portal there.

nether portals with synchronization error.
When entering or leaving the nether, the portals are teleporting us in random places away from the portals.
I look forward to corrections! 🤗

Is there a portal at the place you get teleported to? Can you please provide the exact coordinates of the portal(s) where you enter and where they teleport you to?

basically, I am teleported to a location without portals, example: I created a portal in the normal world, where in the nether there is a portal with the same coordinates, when I enter the portal, I am teleported outside the synchronized portal and in a different location

Please provide the coordinates of the portal(s) where you enter and the coordinates where you are teleported to. Or you can attach a video that shows this information. Was there a portal created at the new location when you returned from the overworld?

This also occasionally occurs on Realms, usually when the player disconnects on Building Terrain. The game calculates the corresponding overworld/nether coordinates correctly but does not search for the nearest portal and instead dumps the player at the initially calculated coordinates (with adjustments to y-level).

Affects 1.16.100

OP's issue doesn't seem to be the same, based on

  • The affected version - MCPE-115933 didn't occur until much later.

  • Using the video, when the player goes from the overworld to the nether, the game seems to calculate the coordinates correctly, as seem from the final coordinates: -324 / 8 = -40.5 approx. 41, and 2627 / 8 = 328.375, but the z coordinate seems to be off by 1 chunk. This suggests the game somehow ignored the fact that it had to find a portal to spawn the player, and while it successfully calculated the new coordinates, it moved the player to the raw calculated coordinates without (looking for) a portal, but adjusted the y coordinate for safety (and for whatever reason the z coordinate adjusted by 1 chunk).

The issue I experience (which is very similar to this one) does indeed still occur in 1.16.220.

Is this still an issue in the latest version?
