In previous releases of the client software, if the server or realm you were on was running an older version of the software, but still in the same major version number, you could still connect. For example, the server or realm was on 1.14.20, but your client was just updated to 1.14.30.
With this latest update, you are unable to connect if the server or realm is not yet updated. This is a huge problem for servers, as the server software is not yet updated.

Are you still having this issue? During an update there may be some sync issues that take a day or so to catch up.
Cleaning up old tickets: This ticket had been set to 'Awaiting Response', but has not received a response from the reporter (~3 months+) so is being closed as Incomplete. If you feel this is still a valid issue then please comment, or create a new ticket following the Issue Guidelines which includes steps to reproduce the problem.

Further research shows that this is because 1.14.60 changed the protocol version - all other 1.14 releases have protocol version 389, but for some reason 1.14.60 has protocol version 390.
