Found previously placed and used rails missing from 2 areas near my base on 2 year old survival world. The rails were oridgionaly placed over 1 year ago and have been in regular use since (main mine cart track from base to other areas). They disappeared at some point in the last week (some time after last world backup 10/04/20). Minecart which was previously on the rails was still present. Neighbouring dispenser also still contained items. Coordinates between which bug occurred, approx: 2407, 61, 144 to 2407, 62, 154 and 2403, 61, 161 to 2398, 62, 164.
Potentially of note was I was working directly above the affected area a few days ago.
info about world save: 2 years old aquatic update save that has riled forward with updates as published. File size is just under 200mb. The world is mostly solo survival although have had friends join the world from time to time (although not in the last 2 weeks). The world has never been swapped to creative. Seed: -1034984793
Happy to give more info, test for repeatability, and help if needed.

I am not the original reporter of this issue but I did have a ticket closed as a 'duplicate' in favor of this one.
This is still an issue as of 1.16.20 (current version). I just had a single rail vanish. The ground beneath was still there (dirt). As to hot to reproduce??
I have no idea. How about throwing down a section of rail then staring at it for a whole lot of time. It is a random thing and seriously I have no idea how to reproduce it.
If it helps it was a section of line that led through a village. The line consists of sixteen lengths of standard rail with a power rail over a covered torch, repeat. There are no elevation changes within about 100 blocks.
