I know you have had previous reports of this back in 1.13 but it is still not fixed even though it says resolved. When you mine stone with silk touch it gives you stone and when you smelt cobblestone it gives you stone that does not stack with the mined stone. Also, villagers do not take the smelted stone. I hope I didn't annoy you with another one of these but it is a very aggravating bug in the game at the moment.

They did, but that could mean that they have stone from 1.13 or it could mean they still experience the issue since that release.
I don't like requesting a report be closed as a duplicate unless I'm sure.
The point here is just that, if its stone mined before 1.14 its really just a "we have to deal" moment because I would assume the change wasn't easy to port back to existing stone and thus only applies to newly mined ore.
If the issue happens with newly mined stuff though thats a whole different story and we need to work out how to reproduce it.

Hi Aldrich,
I'm not able to replicate this.
Are you using stone from before 1.14? When the fix went in it worked for newly mined stone but not existing stone. So in order to "fix" old stone you would have to place and re-mine it.
I started up a 1.16.0.57 world and mined 10 cobble with a standard pick and 10 with a silk touch. I smelted the 10 cobble and on removing it from the furnace it stacked as expected.
