The ores such as iron, gold, and diamonds should be shiny instead of glowing. They should not be a light source. This appears in numerous RTX texture packs.

You are still incorrect, this is also an RTX support feature. light behavior is the same in every resource pack and RTX has no effect apart from support. Let Mojang make their own decision, however light behavior is still incorrect and does not change based on the resource pack. I did not think of this before however you can also head to this site http://aka.ms/rtxbeta in order to view the current non supported areas of minecraft raytracing.

They should only glow when light is reflected against it. That is also how the original showcase showed it. In other words, ore is supposed to reflect light rather than create it. Also it does not actually make total sense that the ore light appears in every texture pack. The only one that I can see making sense is the neon city. Sounds to me like something is not correct. Mojang if you are reading this, and anyone else. This report I am not sure whether or not it is a bug. It is reported mainly to confirm whether or not you are aware, and if its an issue or not. To me though, it does not make sense and that is why I reported it. Anything that does not make since could indicate a programming error especially given that RTX is brand new.
