Respawn Anchor & Beds Explode Despite "TNT Explodes" & "Mob Griefing" Being Off

Beds in the Nether/End & Respawn Anchors in the Overwold explode & destroy blocks despite settings to prevent world griefing being off. I have Fire Spreads, TNT Explodes, & Mob Griefing all off, yet the dimension-specific blocks still disappear, destroy surrounding blocks, & set fire to its surroundings. TNT Explodes should disable these, or there should be a separate setting for these blocks.

This issue seems to be resolved by an additional setting in an upcoming beta.

Beds and respawn anchors are not mobs, so this isn’t a bug.

@bugsbugsbugs So, this is intended behavior?

This would have pretty major ramifications for griefing though, wouldn't it?

@MemoGoodNameYes Yes.

I understand that this is a feature built into the respawn anchor and as such is not a bug, however as a programmer and map creator if I might offer a suggestion: adding a lock function onto the respawn anchor would allow creators to use this block safely in adventure maps and as decorations without the fear of total catastrophe. I am currently using Java edition and there are several workarounds (like actually using it in the nether) but none are really viable in regards to the overworld. Having a lock function that prevents both the explosion from triggering and players from setting their respawn in the overworld using the respawn anchor. This would allow more flexibility with the block without undoing the original design. I was thinking about this while trying to come up with some workarounds and thought I would share. Let me know what you think and keep up all the good work you guys do!

The biggest issue I personally see with it is that it could easily be used by players with creative mode access to grief things quickly, and to create explosions when these have otherwise been intentionally turned off. If this isn't a bug, maybe a gamerule could be added?

I still think this is likely a bug however.

While I do not understand why they should be affected by that gamerule since it is called "TNT Explodes", this was considered a valid bug on legacy console edition and fixed. The bed will just vanish without exploding.

Relates to MCCE-4897.

The new gamerule will fix this, do not worry.
