I can't disable the silverfish spawner in the strong hold even when I lit it up with torches and even lava

I am having the same issue but with a skeleton spawner. I can light the spawner and the entire room around it but they still keep spawning
Is this still an issue in the latest version?
Silverfish can embed themselves in stone-type blocks and then come out when you approach. Are you sure that new silverfish were actually spawning, and not that they were just coming out of the blocks around the spawner?
Cleaning up old tickets: This ticket had been set to 'Awaiting Response', but has not received a response from the reporter (~3 months+) so is being closed as Incomplete. If you feel this is still a valid issue then please comment, or create a new ticket following the Issue Guidelines which includes steps to reproduce the problem.
