After getting a pillager grinder set up, I killed the pillager captain spawned in the outpost, and they won't spawn after that. I created a copy of the world and went into Creative to clear all entities but they still do not spawn in the area, even after making the area dark and open. There is no problem with spawning for other pillager outposts I found in the world.
The world I am playing on is hosted by another person on iOS.

I followed silentwisperer's tutorial, and isolated the spawn block with glass panes. In the Creative copy of the world, the pillagers somehow started spawning again. Maybe it has something to do with the entities? I broke all the blocks I had on the spawning floor in the Survival world and waited around at night, but they didn't spawn in there despite having spawned in the Creative world.

This is still an issue in my 1.18.2 bedrock hard survival server on multiple platforms. When you first find an outpost there are pillagers but if you kill them they do not respawn.
Leaving the chunk, reloading the server, being at spawn distance, day or night- nothing has worked.
I cannot find an open ticket for this issue.
I think is a very specific block that pillagers spawn in and that block has a Y value so if you rised the floor or removed it it won't spawn there. Shearch for raid farm tutorials to see a solution to the problem
