Cake dissapears when crafting

I was crafting my first cake and it just dissapeared, still consuming the ingredients; milk, sugar, wheat. The milk was transformed into empty buckets. I had dissapearing honey block issues recently(solved it by having some empty glass bottles in my hotbar/MCPE-63461), and the style looks about the same. I made a few more cakes and it seems like the sugar didn't matter whether it was made from sugarcanes or honey bottles. They all just dissapear with my items gone as well...
