I am making a survival world in pe Minecraft windows 10 edition. I made a sugarcane farm automatic and I put the hoppers under the dirt and it didn't collect it. I was using waddles sugarcane farm video. It worked for me. The only thing that was different he had java. So please fix the bug in Minecraft pe windows 10

Hoppers only collect items that are in the block space above them, not through a full block. This is the same on Java and Bedrock (see MC-176126). I don't know what video you were watching, but perhaps the block being used was not actually dirt (a full block) and instead was a non-full block, allowing items into the block space above the hopper.
This is an intended feature. Hoppers only pick up blocks from partial blocks. Hopper minecarts can pick up from full blocks.
