Update on this issue by [~Mega_Spud]
29-Jun-20 We will use this issue to track issues with missing Worlds on Xbox One in version 1.16 of Minecraft (Bedrock).
Please take time to allow your worlds to sync with the cloud fully. From our tests, it might take some time for large saves to sync correctly (20+ minutes), and you might encounter the message "your other console is taking to long to sync". Just press "Try again" (not sync current data) and it should eventually upload to the cloud.
It might take another 10+ minutes to download the world from the cloud, and at some time the progress bar might freeze for a couple of seconds but the transfer should complete.
Please note however, that we are not able to assist with the retrieval of worlds here at the bug tracker.
Account or syncing errors should be taken up with Xbox Customer Support directly.
Original Description:

For those experiencing the issue, please could you let us know:
(a) how was the world in question originally created? Was it originally an Editions world, or based on an Editions mashup world?
(b) Is anyone not on Xbox having the issue?
(c) if anyone has a copy of a world that exhibited the problem, even if its an older backup, that might be useful*
On Xbox or Switch the only way is to upload it to a Realm, and then download the world on Windows 10 or Android/iOS. (Please do not purchase a Realms subscription just to provide a world to us - but if you have a Realm already this may be a viable option if you wish to do so.)
If the world is larger than 10MB you can upload the world to OneDrive or a similar file sharing site, and then share the link.

This has happened to me 3 times in the last week and a half. It’s really getting annoying. Put in hours and hours of work. Go to log in on a world and Xbox shuts off. When I get back in game the world is gone. How do I get them back ????

Just had a 10 mb world get deleted. I went to load it when my Xbox one randomly shut itself down. When it finally restarted the world was gone. Its the third time it happens this week. Is there no way of getting the save data back or is the progress I made just lost.

My family has played for months in a world and it disappeared overnight. My kids are very upset. The account is connected to Xbox Live so it should have been saved in the cloud. We tried restoring from the cloud by removing local data, and then by uninstalling Minecraft & reinstalling. All of our other worlds are present but not the one we used most.
The world was created in Minecraft on our Xbox. Not in Minecraft Xbox One Edition. Not migrated from anywhere. If it helps, I work at Microsoft and my Xbox is enrolled in the insider program. Find me in the GAL as SLoh and I can provide my personal account details if needed. We played in the world on 7/26 and it was gone on 7/27. No known crashes involved, though we have plenty of stability and performance issues with the game.
We are on Xbox One and take all the latest updates. Just got the nether update a few weeks ago.
Please treat this as a very severe bug - losing user data should never happen!

Hello, I am having the same issue. I am on Xbox one, and have a previous save from a few days ago. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but no luck. I have not had any issue like this until today, but this is a rather large inconvenience since I have multiple people who would have lost progress.
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm with 2 copies of my Main World that are Corrupted, but can't be deleted.

World I am missing was created in survival with 2 friends on Xbox bedrock edition.
I have no backups (did not even know there was a such a thing as a backupTheo

This happened to all my worlds including my 1GB survival world a couple of months ago just after neather update. When I try to load them up, i get a message sayingsomething along the lines of "the world did not sync properly or is corrupted" so when will it be fixed?

Similar thing happened to me but the date on two of my most recent worlds got set back two years then one of them disappeared

This just happened to me. I was using toolbox for mcpe on a singleplayer with friends. I wanted to make them confused. On toolbox it changes ur skin and says you have no worlds, but it is a glitch and if you open real minecraft your worlds and skin is the same and still there. Now i created a World on TOOLBOX not the regular mc. That world i created i would use to troll my friends. When i went back to regular mc ALL MY WORLDS but that one was gone. My worlds included a Huge city me and my sister made and a survival i played with my friend. And we got diamonds too
