The bug
On bedrock edition, there were some blocks that required an block underneath to be placable, like for example pumpkin, jack o lanterns fence gates and turtle eggs. 1.16 was supposed to remove this, so you can place these blocks floating and donβt need a block underneath to be placable, however turtle eggs are still affected.
How to reproduce:
Build a wall
Try to place a turtle egg floating at the wall
β You canβt place it, but with fence gates, pumpkins and jack o lanterns it works.
Expected result: Turtle eggs can also be placed floating.

This is not parity. This bug is very annoying. I am building a jump and run using turtle eggs and I always have to place to place a block underneath to be able to place them this is very annoying. Most bugs aren't found in both java and bedrock. That doesn't make them parity automatically (see this comment), please reopen.Β
