Aggressive mobs keep spawning around structures and pretty much everywhere even when there's torch-made illumination, glowstone, etc. No matter how much bright and illuminated is the place, it keeps spawning a creeper, skeleton, spider or zombie around me. The spawning rate an quantity is not the same as a completely dark zone, but they still spawning a few monsters (1 or 2)

Thanks for quick response after all. I have turned off the smooth lightning and checked out the illumination. None of the tiles were dark enough to me, yet when I was making a screenshot from the outside of the building a zombie came out from there, as it was happening before. The surrounding area from de building was well illuminated too (I flattened the ground by myself and put torches around for preventing mobs to spawn)

Update: a creeper just appeared inside of the building and blew up my chests, I took a screenshot at that cost

I have had this occur as well. I was downstairs in my base watching my nifty new auto-cauldron filler work (it was raining) when a creeper came down the stairs. There is a LOT of redstone in my basement so I freaked out. Luckily I killed him before he went boom but it shook me up some. My base is very well lit (as in overkill) and this had never happened before. Now I'm always turning around to look behind me in case it happens again.
This happened before 1.16 dropped but after the 1.14.60 hotfix.

@@unknown thank you for the pictures. I've labelled a couple where I think there are spawnable spots with not enough light. I hope this helps. Since it looks like the issue is inadequate lighting, this ticket will be resolved as a duplicate of MCPE-302.

Please provide a screenshot of the area where monsters are spawning unexpectedly. This ticket will be resolved "awaiting response" until updated. Also please note the note the following:
In previous versions of Minecraft, it was common for the cave monster cap to be filled by monsters hidden in small, inaccessible caves. The chance of this happening would increase as you spent time in an area, for example building a base or exploring and the lighting visible caves. With the new despawning system in 1.16, the hidden monsters are now able to despawn regularly, so new ones can spawn in other places. Monsters should now regularly respawn on full blocks in places you have already visited but have not fully lit.
Keep in mind that torches have a light level of 14, monsters spawn in in light level 7 and below, and spawning is based on the light level of the space just above the floor. You may find it helpful to temporarily turn off smooth lighting (in video settings) to see how the light levels change block by block. For more information on calculating light levels see the Minecraft wiki.
