If you wait a long time at the black screen the game should eventually load. Some people have reported from 5 to 20 minutes.

Please make sure the firmware on your Switch is updated. This issue is reported to be much improved with Switch OS version 10.

We are tracking this issue at MCPE-62708, so please vote for that one and watch it for updates. I’ll have this ticket resolved as a duplicate.
