Can't place multiple blocks with interfaces by holding right-click

How to reproduce

1. In creative mode, get a crafting table

2. Start strafing right to place multiple in a row

3. Hold right-click

Expected result

Multiple crafting tables are placed, like any other block

Observed result

The first crafting table is placed, then accessed after the second arm swing even though you weren't looking at it. No matter how far away you go. Even if you fling your camera around 180 degrees after placing the first one
