@MojangSupport minecraft since update 1.16.0 has had a great increase in mob spawns making it near impossible to build in survival without mobs spawning inside buildings. Please review this as a urgent request to fix said issue. Its beyond ridiculous the spawn rate of mobs you deal with one with fully lit area and 5 more takes its place this doesn't make the game fun it makes it frustrating to the point of me giving you guys this review.

Light up your buildings properly and mobs will not be spawning. They do not spawn on blocks with light level 8 or higher. See https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Light
Please provide a screenshot of the area where monsters are spawning unexpectedly. This ticket will be resolved "awaiting response" until updated. Also please note the following:
In previous versions of Minecraft, it was common for the cave monster cap to be filled by monsters hidden in small, inaccessible caves. The chance of this happening would increase as you spent time in an area, for example building a base or exploring and lighting the visible caves. With the new despawning system in 1.16, the hidden monsters are now able to despawn regularly, so new ones can spawn in other places. Monsters should now regularly respawn on full blocks in places you have already visited but have not fully lit.
Keep in mind that torches have a light level of 14, monsters spawn in in light level 7 and below, and spawning is based on the light level of the space just above the floor. You may find it helpful to temporarily turn off smooth lighting (in video settings) to see how the light levels change block by block. Cleaning up old tickets: This ticket had been set to 'Awaiting Response', but has not received a response from the reporter (~3 months+) so is being closed as Incomplete. If you feel this is still a valid issue then please comment, or create a new ticket following the Issue Guidelines which includes steps to reproduce the problem.
