I think this also the case for Twisted Vines and Kelp regardless of how they are broken. I have a farm of each and it wasn't until my Weeping Vines stopped growing that I realized that it was because I didn't fully remove and replant the vines/kelp. I left a single block of each so I didn't have to constantly replant the mat and all 3 stopped growing after breaking once. I'm not sure if this is expected functionality or not.

Shawn, maybe that's the case on your platform, but my kelp farm is working fine, just seems to be the weeping vines so far but I'll check twisted too=)

Louis, Ok thanks. I just tried making a kelp farm in creative and i see that I was wrong there. I'm not sure why my kelp farm wasn't growing in survival then. I'm on PC so it could have something to do with that. Let me know if Twisted vines also give you a problem.

Shawn, no worries I've tested the twisted vines and they seem to have the same problem, they regrow once or twice then stop altogether within half an hour of testing. It reminds me of the old kelp bug that used to occur in previous versions.

Seems to still exist in 1.16.2. They seem to have the old kelp code in them, and have the old kelp bugs. This should be a simple fix.

Exists in 1.16.200 on Android

affects 1.16.201.2. Basically breaks every single type of vine farm that doesn't use bonemeal:/
If you bonemeal the base after harvesting, that will allow it to start naturally growing taller again.

Affects 1.16.221.

This bug is fixed, however plants that were planted before this bug fix was added, still do not grow. Its an easy fix, just replant, but i thought it should be mentioned🙂
