Items keep disappearing. Mostly when the game crashes, which is constantly, but also sometimes when I save and quit. I've tried to figure out what action will cause it or predict which items will vanish, but it seems quite capricious. One time it will be random items from my inventory at the time of a crash, of time it will be all my horses with saddles when I save and quit and resume playing. Many times it has been tools and armor that I have spent a lot of time and resources crafting. It is getting to the point where my family does not often want to play, because we are constantly trying to create replacements for items that have vanished and it is to frustrating. It has only been an issue for us since the bedrock update. We used to be able to manually save, and the manual save would keep our stuff safe. Now there's a big nether update we've been so excited about, and we can't hardly play because it's worse than ever. My partner just lost his bow he spent days rebuilding from the last vanishing, along with all his enchanted diamond armor, now he won't play and its not fun. Please fix this, or let me know what we're doing wrong. We want to play but we feel it's not worth it. PS please bring back manual saves

We have done that with our larger world. We started a new map with the nether update (our previous world was so extensively explored as to be impractical to make use of the new nether biomes). The problem is now since the update, items and even mobs will disappear in front of me. I was going to ride a horse and it blinked out of existence. Somehow I fell into the ground and died, all my stuff was not retrievable. It crashes so often, talking Items with it, or just disappearing important items at random, we can't even make progress to save. Though one time it vanished a stack of sticks but doubled my very nice pick axes. Wish it would do that more often...

I was experiencing this problem in 1.14.60 on the switch. What I recommend is that every time you successfully save and quit you copy the world so that if you lose something important you can load the copy
