Villagers all despawned, none in world now

I started a world and found a village full of villagers. After a few days they all randomly disappeared. I found a different village, but it is also devoid of villagers. They did not become zombies.

Are you sure they were not killed? They would only become zombie villagers on normal (50%) and hard (100%) difficulties. What difficulty is the world on?

The game is on normal difficulty. There do not appear to be any villagers in the entire world despite there being numerous villages

Yes this happened to my villager hall in a realm and i even had 2 breeders that could only be accesses by buttons. The hall was completely mob proofed and could only be accessed by player. They were all named and traded with and i was the only person who knew where it was

Yeah I think they just disappeared rather than were killed by anything. My game is just in single player, not in realms though.

@unknown: Mobs randomly disappearing, even entire chunks of mobs at a time, is tracked at MCPE-21416. This ticket would be a duplicate of that issue except for the claim here that no new villagers are generating at all in the world. Could you make a copy of the world, switch it to creative, and fly over a lot of area to see if there really are no villagers generating?

If you could provide a copy of the world I could look at it, but I'm not sure if you can get a world copy off of PS4.

Also, can you confirm that mob spawning is turned on in the world options?

Thanks.
