Built an exp farm to repair my netherite mending tools but when i try to repair my axe the mending enchantment seems not to work ,the exp goes straight to my exp bar.

Sorry if this sounds impertinent, but are you sure you put the mending enchant on the axe? Your video never shows the axe’s tooltip, and it looks like no xp is going to the axe at all.
I tested this in 1.16.10 and was able to repair a netherite axe with mending.
