Whenever I go into somebody else's world, somebody looks like they aren't there. You can't hit them, and it's like they're transparent.

If understood you correctly I had this happen frequently too. Randomly while playing in multiplayer will have someone tell me they are near me but I can't see them. As proof they throw or do another action which I can see. I have to exit and rejoin world to see the person again... More killjoys when attempting to enjoy multiplayer (I also play on updated ipod touch 5g in version 0.11.1 but think overheard at least one other niece fuss about same issue on a different device)
