In this bug report I want to mention a bug that for some reason doesn't let you shoot back the ghast's fireball.
BUG:
When you hit the fireball it sometimes does not shoot it back at in the opposite direction.
(Happens mostly on Realms due to lag even though you can hear the hitting sound).
How to reproduce:
1. Let a ghast shoot a fireball at you
2. Try hitting the fireball (especially on a realm)
Sometimes the hit gets not recognize even though you looked at the hitbox and did a hit
3. The result is the fireball hits the floor or the player
Expected Results:
The fireball should get hit back in the opposite direction instead hitting the ground in the direction it flys to.
Observed Results:
The fireball doesn't recognize the hit and instead crashes into the floor.

The issue still persists. I have done further testing. I will provide a video if I can get a proper one with decent quality.
As of now I can't get a lag free video ready. So I am really sorry for showing no evidence but in further testing I have investigated that the bug does still sometimes happen. It backfires the fireball but also sometimes it goes through the player, explodes before taking off into the other direction or explodes without doing any damage.

Possibly the same underlying issue as MCPE-14213, that lag/latency can cause a delay in the the appearance of the fireball compared to its position on the server.

This definitely does still occur, and this applies to normal games and not just realms. Most of the time I even hear a hitting sound, but the fireball explodes.Â
