I downloaded the new 1.16.2 patch today and now my survival world is in creative and I can't get it back to survival without turning on cheats

Has your login changed, or are your multiplayer settings set to visitor?
Does your gamemode change correctly if you run a /gamemode d command in a copy of the world?
Do you have experimental gameplay enabled on the world?
I am not on experimental and nothing is switched to visitor and I don’t know how to code minecraft to switch gamemodes

Try opening the world settings while you have the world loaded, and then change the personal game mode back to survival. You can't change the personal game mode when the world is not loaded.
