Playing Minecraft on Xbox, multiplayer, my two sons in Iceland on the same machine w split screen, and me in Norway, both machines running the latest update of Minecraft for Xbox, and the latest update of the Xbox OS.
Bought Duck Tales on the marketplace. In one of the earliest missions, the Money Shark does not spawn, thus preventing further progress in the game.
Having watched a walkthrough online, I switched over to creative mode and manually spawned the money shark, and subsequently also manually spawned the money shark w legs.
This allowed some small progress, but as soon as Lena/ Magica de Spell should spawn, she didn't, halting further progress completely, even though one tried manually to spawn the right character. This was extra frustrating because one gets locked inside the McDuck manor.
This caused some small sorrow with my 9 year old.

Just commented on MCPE-97743, which is a report of the exact same problem. I can't believe this issue has been open for so long, and that I paid money for a pack with a known bug. I will never make a purchase from the Marketplace again.
I also have this problem on the PS4. My son picked this add-on for us to play together. The money shark never spawns but the quest progresses for you to go outside where you get stuck. You can manually spawn the shark from creative mode and proceed but when you get to the part where you have to fight Lena in the manor you get stuck again. Lena never spawns and if you manually spawn her the quest doesn't update from "Head to the foyer". Hopefully this gets fixed soon. We just got the add-on and can't play. I'd like to play it with my son instead of refunding.
Running into same bug on switch, however spawning in creative does not allow progression. Instead the shark flies up, never to be seen again.
I really wish they'd solve the problem. It is pointless to make someone pay for something that no longer works properly. I'm desperate for them to fix it. It takes a lot of effort to get to the point where it glitches. PLEASE, fix the glitch!
Having same problem, iPad is used to create the world, ps4 + nintendo to cross - connect. Shark is not spawning in the vault, possibly because we looted the box in gold long beforehand...

I have a method that will get you through to the end of the story, and past this shark problem.
At Step 8 (in the vault) when the shark doesn't spawn, enable cheats, and then run this command. (Be ready to fight!):
/summon ducktales:gold_shark
When you go outside, you'll find that the second shark also fails to spawn. So at Step 9, do (Be ready to fight):
/summon ducktales:gold_shark_legged
That will allow you to continue past the shark. However, you will then get stuck at the Foyer. While you are in the foyer (step 16), when it won't let you continue, run the following (Be ready to fight!):
/function ducktales/story_2/state47
From there on out, we didn't have anymore trouble completing the story. Hope this helps someone!
