Hunger depletes significantly faster than in the Java Edition

The disparity between hunger depletion rates in the Java Edition and the Bedrock Edition is so significant that I feel it could be unintended.

I created a video exploring the differences that I've found, but the most notable is that, when sprint-jumping at Normal difficulty, the Java version loses a hunger point every ten seconds, while, in the Bedrock version, a hunger point is lost every two seconds.

Additionally, with the starting saturation values of a new world, players on the Java Edition are able to sprint for ~2 minutes longer, and can jump ~6 minutes longer before they begin to take damage from starvation.

Java had made some tweaks to the properties of Hunger in the Combat Test updates, maybe it is because of that?
