This bug ticket is a parity issue that only includes from Buzzy Bees onwards.
Some of the death messages are:
<player> was stung to death = died from bee sting
Instead it reads = <player> was slain by Bee
<player> fell off some weeping vines = fell from the weeping vines
<player> fell while climbing = fell from the ladder/vines
<player> fell off some twisting vines = fell from the twisting vines
<player> fell off scaffolding = fell from the scaffolding
Instead it reads =
<player> fell from a high place

Another example that is missing:
<player1> was killed by <player2> using <weaponName>
Also, I have found behaviour packs are not able to change the specific causes anymore and some items override others. For exanple, 2 entries deal with a basic fall. If I change generic to "<player> tripped over air" and the other to "<player> tried to fly without an Elytra", the generic one is displayed spite the conditional variants stated in each line.
Thank you for your report!
After consideration, the issue is being closed as Won't Fix.
Please note that this is not the same as Working as Intended, as this bug report correctly describes behavior in the game that might not be the intended or desirable behavior, but it will not be fixed right now. Sometimes, this is because the issue reported is minor and/or impossible to change without large architectural changes to the code base.

I think the (Elder) Guardian death message is incorrect as well (I don't have java so it's just a prediction.
The current death message: <player> was slain by (Elder) Guardian
What it should be (prediction): <player> was shot by (Elder) Guardian
