Newly crafted netherite sword says "too expensive" when put in anvil.

Does the sword have any enchantments?

No, it’s just an unenchanted diamond sword.

The same happens with an unenchanted netherite sword 

I don't understand why this happens, the only real reason It would show "Too Expensive" Is If the sword has at least 6 enchantments.

I’ve just crafted one of every sword, it only happens with diamond and netherite swords

Is the sword new, or have you repaired it using anvil before?

The sword was new, does it happen if it gets repaired?

I’m using Xbox, I have no idea why it is happening, that’s why I’m reporting it.

im not using swords that have been repaired. I’ve just crafted a Netherite sword from a new Diamond sword I’d just made and wanted to put mending on it but it comes up too expensive before I even put the book in 

I'm having similarly relevant issues with boots
