did you placed them using /fill commands?
you just attached a screenshot from a year ago, also if my recall is correct this bug has been fixed in 1.16
you should go thorugh the portal by yourself at least once, there you generate the exit portal in the overworld, and then other entities such as ghast may go through the portal.
If one block belongs to the mountain biome, an emerald vein may generate anywhere in that chunk. You must have been in the underground of borders between the mountain biome and the birch forerst biome
I realized pickaxe has nothing to do with this issue, so i edited.
Not to be confused with MC-160457 / MC-162977 , those issues are about mining a bee nest in creative mode, but to reproduce this issue you should mine it in survival mode.
Also confirmed for 21w06a, I think you might have tested it in the wrong way.
no...this shouldn't be intentional, how could a mob take fall damage on their own 'land'? other fire resistent mobs such as zombified piglins just sink but never hit hard on lava. this should be fixed in future versions.
lava can smelt like 100 items. it persists long.
due to bad AI along with jagged nether terrain, endermen may stuck in a pit and if you stay in warped forest biome around over 300 minecraft days, type in /effect give @e[type=enderman] glowing 100
then the output will say like 150 units are applied to the effect meanwhile the mob count at the debug screen tells you there's only 70 hostile mobs
i understand this may not be considered as a bug, but should be fixed by either one of these ways:
endermen picking up terrain blocks no longer be prevented from despawn
endermen picking up terrain blocks still counts towards the mob cap
fix mobs AI so that they never fall into a pit where they could not escape out
cannot reproduce: zombified piglins never convert to drowned while underwater/on a boat/on a floating boat

In 1.16.1 release:
1. players and other entities can catch on fire after logging on while riding a strider in lava
2. striders dont take fall damage when landing on lava

i said it was never modded and i only turned on lan server for commands. i didnt have f3 enabled when taking a screenshot of the zombie to show the entity data. now it despawned and its gone.
it should be started with this question: does cave_air have any slight difference with regular air? (like cave_air is automatically filled in when enclosed after using setblock, fill commands or structure blocks)
the minecraft wiki says there are none but if there is, similar bugs may occur over and over again when using commands.
might be because villagers or entities respawning arent taken into account becuase they never respawn after their death. and villagers only remember their beds coordinates(from nbt tags) but do not consider it to be their respawn point.
yeah underground structures are actually filled with cave_air
you need to use both /fill <x> <y> <z> <x> <y> <z> <block> replace minecraft:air, /fill <x> <y> <z> <x> <y> <z> <block> replace minecraft:cave_air at a time or use /fill <x> <y> <z> <x> <y> <z> <block> keep
commands used were
/summon villager ~ ~ ~ {Age:-10000,CustomName:'{"text":"testbabyvillager"}'}
/data get entity @e[name=testbabyvillager,limit=1]
and in normal world generation natually spawned baby villager AI has same behavior.
Baby villagers often fails to enter the house(either open and then instantly close the door, or they manage to get inside the door like 0.3 block and then get out) even when there's available bed inside. Adult villagers properly enters house as they do.
It might seems this has something to do with hitboxes, like the program didn't recognized baby villagers are inside.
if you repair it, the repair cost doubles over time and certain point the cost becomes too expensive, you cant reach that level in survival, thus shows the message.
Probably the same issue, you can also create ghost lily pads easier by walking across water with frost walker enchantment while placing them down
