Realms will periodically disconnect everyone and revert to an older save of the realm, by up to a few hours. Sometimes inventories are not reverted properly, occasionally deleting items.

Having the same issue on 1.20.1 Realms (Java)

I've gotten this too throughout the past week. Worst occasion was when somebody broke their shulker boxes, picked them up, and put them in their enderchest... only for the realm to soft reset (like this bug says) and delete those shulker boxes from existence.

One thought of the cause - frequent chunk generation (because we've been exploring a ton for the new 1.20 items and loot) or just massive worldfile.

I thought new chunk generation might be the cause, but it happens even in old chunks.
