Ender pearls thrown in the end seem to only travel so far before simply disappearing. I am able to throw an ender pearl a short distance and it will still teleport me. But, throwing an ender pearl between islands is often impossible as the pearls will disappear after any sizable distance. The end pearls are not falling into the void, simply disappearing mid air.
I have only observed this is on Minecraft Realms for bedrock, specifically in the end dimension. Ender pearls work fine in single player.
Steps to replicate
1. In the end dimension, throw an ender pearl at a surface far away from the player.
2. Watch the ender pearl to confirm that it is on path to hit a solid block, and not fall into the void.
Observed Results:
Ender pearl disappears entirely.
Expected Results:
The ender pearl should continue traveling, as it does in single player worlds.

Update: after further testing in the overworld, it seems that if a pearl is thrown to the edge of the simulation distance, it will lose all momentum and simply fall to the ground at that point. However, in the end, that point is likely to be the void for long distance throws. The result of this is a pearl which never lands. This is gamebreaking in that the pearl does not land in the place the player aims but rather at the edge of their simulation chunks.
