REALMS-11837

Some players unable to access Realm

Put the summary of the bug you're having here

What I expected to happen was...:Click join on Realm, join realm

What actually happened was...:Click join on Realm, says "You have not been whitelisted".

Steps to Reproduce: This started today 5/30/24 and is affecting random players. I have made no changes to the allow list or edited their access level.
When I try to join the realm, sometimes I get the message on the launcher saying Realms request failed, but I can still join.

I saw one occasion of this in community support and the user couldn't resolve it. Putting this up to CC due to that

I am receiving the same bug exactly with the exact same symptoms above.  The bug is reproducible on both Windows and Mac devices.  Reinstalling and logging in and out do not work and internet is working.   The bug started intermittently over the past few days but has been permanent for the past 24 hours.  Has anybody been able to fix?

-I believe that the addition that "This issue is duplicated by MC-273003 [ MC-273003 ]" is an error - that thread seems to involve knockback arrows - this seems to have no relation to the issue in this thread.-

@unknown: I'm not sure what you're looking at, but MC-273003 is a 100% duplicate of this issue and does not involve knockback arrows at all.

It appears I can no longer view this post.  Has it been deleted or are permissions such that it is not viewable to the public?   I see the following errors when I try to find the post. Was the issue resolved? If so, could you provide the solution here?

The issue was never visible to the public, you must be confusing it with another issue. And no, this issue has not been fixed. I think the workaround is to kick the player from the realm and invite them back. This issue here is the parent issue, and any new issue reporting this problem will be resolved as a duplicate of this issue.

Is there anyone at Mojang/Microsoft even working on this issue?  The issue appears as unassigned.

Truly disappointing given that this issue was first raised May 31.  11 days, 17 people following the issue, 7 duplicated threads, and not even an update to say that it's being looked at.

This issue (and Minecraft reliability as a whole) seem to be being treated as the lowest of the low priority.

I'm cancelling my years-long realms subscription until there is official acknowledgement that this is being worked on/resolved.  No reason to pay for a broken product that has no sign of improving.

My only hope is that Mojang has noticed this bug and will fix it with the new update coming very soon

Has anyone's Realms issues also been accompanied by getting an error message on minecraft.net in Swedish? This issue is also something I'm experiencing but not getting proper visibility WEB-7190

When i tried to join my own realm today, this showed up instead of all the other type of messages that were already reported.
The realm that i tried to join was of version 1.21-pre4

I didnt even have to restart this time and it just worked on the second attempt.

Hello, we made an update to our services that seems to have resolved this issue. Please let us know if this happens again. Thanks as always for bringing these issues to our attention.
