Steps to reproduce the issue:
Try to download a world from a Realm
Expected result: World is fully downloaded locally.
Actual result: Download always fails a bit after the “Downloading World” screen changes to “1.1 GB”. A “World import started…“ toast is shown briefly on the top of the screen, and after a second a modal “An error occured“ appears. The world import process probably shouldn’t start when over half of the world hasn’t been downloaded.
Additional details (unsure how related, but here anyways):
Download always fails at 1.1 GB no matter where the download is started from (“Download World” button, or from Realm backup list).
Downloading an older Realm backup also fails (oldest we have is from 2025-05-26 with version 1.21.81.2)
Our world is currently 2.8 GB, we use 2 resource packs and 2 behavior packs.
Restarting Minecraft didn’t help.
Closing all other programs didn’t help.
Restarting Windows didn’t help.
This is a major issue as we cannot guarantee our forever-world is safe from possible data loss with Realms services.
