Random sound of dog dying in certain areas

In certain areas, seemingly chunk defined, we have found on our realm the sound of a wolf dying when you cross a certain chunk boundary, but there are no wolves around. This has been happening since 1.8.1 came out. We have checked for various things and cannot find anything that might be causing it, even closed & reopened the realm. Some of us can just avoid the area, but for others it is on their bases and very annoying.

Edited 11th Feb: Now in the same area there is a new issue, following 1.9.0's release - the dog death sound still plays, but also there are places where block placement is impossible. The block appears to be placed for a split second, then disappears. It remains in inventory.

Instead of creating a new issue, I have decided to add to this one and hope it gets seen.  This issue has now changed a little after 1.9.  The same areas which were causing the dog sound, (we marked out the chunks) we now can no longer place blocks in these same chunks.  We place them and they immediately disappear.  This is considered now an unplayable chunk.

Very much hope that somebody can investigate this issue for us, thanks.

Are you able to provide a copy of the world save(s) where this is happening? (A link to a copy on a file share such as OneDrive would suffice.)

Update. I have the world save as a zipped file and it remains on google drive.
I would prefer not to post a link publicly as this is an application only survival realm and anyone viewing this ticket could potentially download the world and gain seed access. Please let me know how to get you this file. Thanks.

Thank you Mega Spud

New issues in this ticket that may be connected somehow:  It appears the blocks not being able to be placed and the dog sounds are both still problems. I will list out the coords of these problems here.

453 73 76 - 20x21 area where no full blocks can be placed at only Y73, white glass marks out the problem area

The following areas are an outline of random chunk border lines where, when you cross over the line, the sound of a dog dying can be heard, but there are no dogs. Areas marked with flower pots on the surface.

519 72 111

510 72 26

400 64 116

488 64 128

381 73 62

There are more dog sound areas, but we felt this was enough for investigation.

The user whose base is in the middle of these problems uses Win 10 and uses a Chunk Viewer addon, this may not be the cause, we just felt it neccessary to provide the info.

One additional item that has occurred since, is there is a large several chunk area that will NOT load up at all, its just blank and empty, logging out and in does not fix it. If you logout to close to it, we cannot even get logged back in, the login screen just hangs on building terrain for that user.

Unloaded Area is near -130 65 -220

We are at a loss as to why so many chunks are seeming to corrupt in this realm.

Our realm also has the problem of NO phantoms spawning at all... for any user.

I'm running bedrock-server-1.14.20.1 for Ubuntu and this issue is present. I summoned 10+ wolves to experiment something and later killed them all. Now I'm constantly haunted by the sounds of the wolves' deaths whenever I cross the chunks where the wolves died 😞

However I'm able to place blocks in those affected chunks though

Certainly is a strange glitch, not encountered it before I did, nor afterwards, we have since moved on from that realm where it was happening

I am currently experiencing this on a friend's realm. I hear a random variation of a wolf dying anytime I enter or exit one of the main chunks in my village. Other players experience the same thing when visiting my village and we all play on different platforms. I have personally experienced it on both Windows 10 edition and iOS. I will also note that I am the only one on the server who has had 10+ wolves die (and all within the vicinity of my village). I've spent dozens of hours building on that chunk and it is bumming me out experiencing this glitch on a pretty consistent basis. I am currently playing on version 1.14.30.

Experienced this issue on our bedrock realm earlier today, along with the being unable to place blocks in a main chunk. Our solution was to download the world, reset the realm, and replace the new realm with the downloaded version of the old one. Everything is working correctly now.

Thank you for your report!
